Sauramita Debbarma
A Valedictorian graduate of ICFAI University in 2023 with a major in English Language and Literature, Sauramita Debbarma is a sports journalist, cultural correspondent, writer, and digital creative from Tripura, India. She currently works as a Cultural and Sports Correspondent at East Twipra while also serving as a full-time multi-sports journalist at EssentiallySports.
With a strong foundation in sports media and storytelling, Sauramita specializes in covering combat sports such as Boxing and MMA, alongside major international sporting events and leagues including Tennis, the Olympics, NASCAR, Golf, the NFL, and the NBA/WNBA, where she currently works as a beat reporter. Over the years, she has published 1,500+ articles under her name, building a reputation for detailed reporting, engaging narratives, and audience-focused sports coverage. Her work also earned her an exclusive interview opportunity with former professional boxer Carl Froch.
Beyond journalism, Sauramita has actively participated in academic, literary, and youth leadership initiatives.
